World Letter Writing Day 2017
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

With today being September 01 it is World Letter Writing Day 2017. You may find today inspiration to write A letter and get into the mail!

Welcome to the new month of September.

I’m including my September 01 blog posts from 2015, and 2016. My 2015 post Gonna Fly through Fall (Sept. thru Dec. planning), will find us seeing movie clips from Rocky and Rocky II with inspiring us to take action!  If you missed it from last year, my post on Welcome September 01 World Letter Writing Day, covers the history and introducing us to the event.

Today we are just looking at this additional suggestion on “How to Celebrate Letter Writing Day”.

“Get out the pen and paper and start writing! Picking who to write too can often be the hardest thing, but you should select an old friend or family member of any age.  …

Another option is to send it to a grandparent or parent who was around when there was no other option when you wanted to communicate with someone far away. Phone calls were all very well and good, but they were quite expensive, and letters were cheap to send through the post. Take the opportunity provided by Letter Writing Day to work on your writing skills, and let a loved one know they’re worth a little extra effort.”

Enjoy!

Helen

P.S. Tomorrow will find us having some letter writing fun with my Saturday blog post.
