Superbowl themed scrapbooking weekend

Superbowl themed scrapbooking weekend is today’s blog topic!  Happy Saturday and I hope you are staying warm with this cold weather.

Today’s blog post is short and sweet.  The time is flying by on this Superbowl themed scrapbooking weekend at the scrapbooking crop I’m enjoying.

Superbowl themed scrapbooking weekend

ScrapAndDesignLogoToday included helping to make Valentine’ Day cards for one of the weekend croppers Meals on Wheels route tomorrow.

I’ve included a photo of the three different box cards we are getting to choose from to make this weekend – they fold flat and are perfect for mailing.  This Crop Handout of Box Cards are by SVG Cuts.     We even have had the Girl Scouts stop by earlier with cookies!

The theme has permeated the games and drawings this weekend and for tomorrow’s finale we are to wear Carolina Panthers colors for some fun activities planned with it being the day of Super bowl 50 .

Cuddy’s Quilt Update

While most weekend croppers have been scrapbooking and/or card making I have enjoyed having my sewing machine with me and being able to finish sewing together the quilt top for Cuddy’s Quilt!   In addition, today all of the triangles and squares have been cut and organized for the second quilt.   This means after Valentines’ both quilt tops will be ready for the actual quilting!

From my November 12, 2015 blog post:
“The squares are from the dog bandanas I collected from the visits he made for being boarded and/or dog-day-care… There are actually going to be two quilts – one for my family and the other for what was Cuddy’s second home where he loved daycare and to be boarded: Pawville!   There is a smaller sized quilt that will be on display there!    Ongoing updates on the progress of these two quilts will be posted to a page under construction on Cuddy here at AnchoredScraps.com!”

If you find yourself with the opportunity to do concentrated work on your favorite hobby by attending a themed weekend with fellow enthusiasts I encourage you to plan for one and sign up!

Helen
