On the horizon

On the horizon is today’s blog post topic on this Monday as we kick-off the new week!

On the horizon

The question was asked today by a dear friend (and email blog subscriber here at AnchoredScraps) if I knew what my plans were for continuing to blog daily after I reach my one year milestone of blogging daily on February 26th.  My friend shared they had gotten used to my blog post being out there every day – even if she is not able to get to it every day she knows it is there and in the queue for her when she can read them and didn’t know what to expect after I will have reached my goal.  The timing was perfect for the question given today I had early renewed my web hosting for the next year with GoDaddy.

It means On the horizon – for all of 2016 into 2017 – I plan to continue to be blogging daily!

In looking at my master excel list of posted and future blog topics I have already figured out that with us having the extra Leap Year Day in February that my 400th blog post will be March 31, 2016!

Back in September in my Celebrating blog post 200!  I shared some observations at that time of blogging for 200 consecutive days and here today we are at blog post number 334 and I am amazed at how quickly the time continues to fly by and I continue to look at things in 24 hour time frame segments to move things along for accomplishments.

This month has found me in addition to blogging daily actively sending more letters and engaging with projects that involve writing letters.   Currently there are two challenges with letter writing about to begin/already underway that have been previously showcased here at AnchoredScraps.com including yesterday’s reminders about them in my Sunday blog post.

“Writing Letters of Kindness to the Elderly” where it is a 21-day kindness challenge.  All of the details and sign up for it are at this link.

Homefront Hugs USA Valentines (which need to be received by February 8th) is an opportunity to send cards and letters for “Writing our heroes – our wounded warriors & deployed troops”.  Their Writing our Troops page best explains how to send letters and cards to participate.

As I wrap-up today’s blog post I wanted to share one of my favorite books this past year (which I’m still sharing with friends) is Seth Godin’s book What To Do When It’s Your Turn (and it’s always your turn).   It is inspiring and if you are looking for some help to get you properly motivated to begin taking action and making a difference this book is right there with you full of encouragement to trust that you are unique and have a lot to offer!

What else is On the horizon for AnchoredScraps? Lots! My Mom was delighted to hear recently about my updated plans to be able to print ALL of 2015 blog posts into one book (will probably be over 400 pages) and I’m very excited about getting it to the printer, stay tuned for more details on it.

Thank you to my dear friend today for her kind sentiments that she would miss my daily blog posts if I were to stop writing them after reaching the one year milestone.  Here’s to be being excited about the future and anticipating a fun journey to 2017!

Helen
