“Traveling Mailbox” (& song “Travelin’ Man”)

Today we are continuing our theme this week on AnchoredScraps.com in looking at options of what to do with your mail when you are on the road – the “Traveling Mailbox” service offers options for your mail physically and digitally.

And I could not resist checking out Ricky Nelson’s “Travelin’ Man” song from 1961.

The “Traveling Mailbox” service:

TravelingMailboxHomePageTopIt was a delight to be able to use the “Live Chat” feature on Tuesday and confirm with Travis Poole, President of Traveling Mailbox some items about their mail service (On Twitter @TravMailbox).   Traveling Mailbox offers “an affordable online postal mail management solution that is perfect for RVers, online businesses, accountants, snowbirds, and of course Travelers.”   It has been around since 2011 and to learn they have customers in over 47 Countries.  The company is based in Sanford, North Carolina.

The tagline for AnchoredScraps.com is “Balancing new technology communication with old-style corresponding” and this mail service – “Traveling Mailbox” does that too balancing technology – if you want to have your mail physically handled and/or have it digitized they offer three plans: Basic Plan, Extended Plan, and Small Business Plan.  Over 90% of their customers fit into either the Basic Plan or Extended Plan.  Live support is available via Phone, Live Chat, and Skype.

If you need the physical copy of any mail that you receive, they can mail it out to you anywhere in the world.  Typically customers get an address and their mail is forwarded to Traveling Mailbox and they scan it online so you can view it anywhere in the world. If you need a physical copy, they just forward it to you; some do use General Delivery.

travelingMailboxChatThe Online Postal Mail Services offers “affordable and simple online mailbox solutions” including Package Forwarding Services, Bulk Scanning & Online Document Storage Services.

When you look at their services page it shows options for Physical Street Address with their addresses, Global Access, and how to view your postal mail anywhere!  They can scan your Postal Mail, deposit your checks (if you opt for that feature), and more.

One of the things I enjoy about blogging here at AnchoredScraps.com is being on this journey together as we explore options to help with our letter writing.  It is fun to inject sidelines about songs, movies, books, and other items of interest to share – as my nieces and nephews (who are email blog subscribers here) get to learn these tidbits that are important to their Aunt Helen.

Ricky Nelson –“Travelin’ Man” (song)

For some reason the name of the mail service – “Traveling Mailbox” has motivated me to go listen to the 1961 song by Ricky Nelson “Travelin’ Man <- that link on YouTube with him singing has received over 5 Million views!  See if you don’t start singing the song too!

In doing some exploring I came across Ricky Nelson Remembered: a “unique multi media entertainment event featuring the live music of Ricky Nelson’s hit songs by his twin sons Matthew & Gunnar”.   This link will take you to their promo video that tells you more about this special tribute to their Father.  (On Twitter @RickyNelsonRemb and @MatthewandGun).  Be sure to check it out!

Again, Thank you to Travis Poole, President of Traveling Mailbox for his time in sharing about his company.  It is exciting to see these options that are available.  I hope they are of help to you too!

Anchors Aweigh,

Helen
