“USPS Style Meets Sentiment”

Today I am starting off today’s blogpost with saying Thank you!

It was wonderful yesterday to receive several emails from individual AnchoredScraps.com email subscribers sharing articles they had come across about letter writing and wanting to share them!

The email from my friend yesterday at our local stamp club included: “Hello Helen, This may be of interest to you. I found it on one of the US Postal Service’s web sites promoting letter writing.  As soon as I read it I thought of you.”

What I especially like about this article is we had covered the From Me to You stamps on April 8th blogpost celebrating National Letter Writing Month.

USPS Style Meets Sentiment – Express yourself via post

Over on the US Postal Service website, their Stamp stories worth sharing series celebrates letter writing.  The most recent one is No 74: Style Meets Sentiment Express yourself via post.  It is written by Elisabeth Sullivan, Stamp art direction by Ethel Kessler, and Stamp design by Michael Osborne.

If you have ever tried to figure out what to write on the inside of a blank greeting card this article will be of help!  The article showcases two experts who have suggestions and ideas on how to go about finding the right words to go along with the From Me to You stamps.

The first contributor Perry Nelson has a business out of Austin, Texas Nicely Noted (on Twitter @NicelyNoted) and offers subscribers a monthly suite of stationery to go along with the USPS stamps.

The second guest for the article, Molly Wigand, (on Twitter @hmkmollyw) writes for Hallmark Cards, and offers suggestions on how to best come up with sentiments from your heart to include fitting the card and occasion.

The graphics are beautifully done and I hope you will enjoy reading their suggestions and ideas!

Thank you again to my stamp club friend for sharing today’s blogpost idea!    Join me tomorrow as we look at Friday’s blogpost here on AnchoredScraps.com.

Anchors Aweigh,

Helen
